Pros

Very low pressure job with flexible hours. Casual dress. Free bananas and seltzer water.

Cons

Not a lot of interesting development work. Bug fix here, bug fix there. Fixing broken products is about 70% of the work, the other 30% is you scrambling to find something productive to do. If you're hungry for knowledge and eager to learn new things, you can probably do a lot better than working here. Lots of toys like pool table, ping pong table, and basketball hoop, but nobody around to ever part-take in a game! The company definitely has high turnover, and it's US offices are essentially a ghost town. It's not uncommon to take lunch and see absolutely no one in the cafeteria or in the common spaces. Why haven't these things been able to attract more people? Hmm I wonder. Some genuinely good people still remaining from the glory days, but recruitment for new talent is nonexistent. The good talent that does brave into the offices once in a blue moon never seems stays long, and, it's probably for a good reason. Don't believe the hype of "open" pto. Anything past two weeks and you will probably need to start looking for a new job.

Pros

35+ years of success because of consistently delivering great products.

Cons

Very tech-focused and too old school (or immature) when it comes to GTM, but thankfully they're making investments to address this.
