Pros

Very laid back when it comes to store management. They look for people who want to work, the more you are willing to work, the more they will work you. Even as a part time employee, you have the potential to work full-time hours. Very easy to learn your job, even with the little training that you may receive. If you decide you want to advance, just be a go getter and be self motivated. The less they feel they have to train you, the more inclined they will be to promote you.

Cons

Corporate does not really seem to grasp what people in the stores actually have to deal with . Impossible tasks at time, especially for front end management. Pay rarely is equal to what you have to deal with on a day to day basis. One evaluation a year, and a base raise rate of $0.25 a year?!? Now with their recent expansion of their warehouse at the corporate office, people aren't even getting that!

Pros

-Rotating Weekends (Work Sat/Off Sun then Off Sat/Work Sun) -Flexible Scheduling

Cons

-You are expected to do a lot of work for very little pay -Being promoted is extremely unlikely and any wage increases is purely for inflation, not because they think you deserve it. -If you do not fight for higher wages they will not give it (I knew someone who has worked full-time in the deli for years longer than I, but somehow he made less than me) - Deli Management is very clique like, the assistant store manager has many complaints filed against him. -Expected to work holidays, no holiday pay or overtime (ever)
