Chronically short staffed, do not pay well, made a big deal about switching to a “merit based” eval system with raises…. Which apparently means employees eval themselves, upper management glances at it and “has no control over the money part of things” to give employees what they’re worth, until the employee decides to leave.
Communication between departments that work closely together is dismal despite meetings, talks, emails and years long efforts with no lasting change.
Equipment for the department that was requested before the pandemic even began took literally years to get ordered and arrive.
