Pros

As much as I hate this company and was absolutely miserable here, it did kickstart my career just because they’re willing to train you when you come in with 0 recruiting skills right out of college (only because they want employees who have never worked in a corporate setting so they don’t realize how much they’re being taken advantage of and how crazy it is here). Also can make some friends by bonding through working in such a traumatic environment.

Cons

I worked as an internal recruiter here for around half a year and witnessed so many violations and inappropriate behavior just in that time. There were blatant discriminatory practices I observed, and treatment of employees was horrible. I once had to help a contractor who did not get paid for a whole week because their recruiter forgot to approve their timesheet and then said there was nothing they could do about it. We had to be in the office at 7am, and it was looked down upon to not stay later than 5pm. Lunch breaks are strictly an hour and if you’re a few minutes late you will get in trouble. You cannot ever leave work ever or have flexible hours as a recruiter, but the account managers can leave whenever they want to go get their hair done or get eyelash extensions. It feels like you’re actually a prisoner being watched at all times. You are working way more than 40 hours and getting paid absolutely nothing and do not make commission for on average at least 1-2 years. They tell you how much money you can make if you stick with it and try to tell you that you can’t make as much money anywhere else but trust me YOU CAN. I’m 2 years out of the company and now making 6 figures on base salary alone. There are countless things I can say about how manipulative this company is, but long story short it sucks. It was probably one of the worst times of my life working here because it consumes you and you feel like your life has to revolve around the culture of going out with everyone from work on weekends, and then you’re at work from 7am, get home at 7pm and are too exhausted to do anything else. You’re even told that you don’t have as good of a chance of being promoted if you don’t attend the drinking events outside of work. Also a game of favorites - I had a fine relationship with my managers but I saw other coworkers who were completely ignored by their mentors and not given any chance to succeed based on how “cool” they were. It may be different now in the Covid era with people working from home but my experience was awful. And this was when I was meeting metrics and getting promoted, but nothing could make the toxic environment worth it to me. Regardless, I don’t regret taking the job because it led to me having a successful career but I wish I knew how a normal company actually functioned when I worked here.

Pros

- amazing people, they feel like family and will become your best friends - job is perfect balance between structure of corporate and getting to tangibly help people (getting to offer someone a job is the best feeling ever!) - leadership cares about your development as a professional - earning potential is INSANE!

Cons

- base pay until you are eligible for commission is tough for a few months, you will have to budget pretty hard - weed out period/metrics, stay strong! it is so worth it!

Pros

The individual contributors and the endless amounts of budget for campaigns tools and resources. A great place for marketing creatives looking to do just that, create.

Cons

Leadership served themselves, not their team. There's 0 structure with no marketing KPI measurement or revenue attribution to show the ROI. Everyone always seemed so busy but nothing was getting done to show the impact marketing had on the businesses bottom line. Not many wanted to do the work to build the department to any potential, half of marketing doesn't even work under marketing which promotes vast misalignment. Just resources begging to be used and a bleeding advertising budget. It has a ton of potential, but I watched the few who could have changed it all leave over the frustrations of leaders only concerned with their own self preservation.
