Pros
Competitive pay structure, good benefits package, employees are respected and valued. They also encourage community involvement in the cities they operate in. They match donations to charity organizations.
Cons
I haven't found many. To answer the claims that it is difficult to advance through the company, you are expected to work towards your goals. I have personally found that having an open discussion with your manager about where you want to be and the honestly acting on your development plan goes a long way. They won't just hand it to you because you've been there longer. You have to put your money where your mouth is.
