    I worked at Intact full-time

    Pros

The people are great and the culture at the company is also really great. The company is very much oriented to making an impact on the community and also having social events to keep their employee's engaged.

    Cons

Very limited room for growth. If you are good at what you do they want to keep you in that same position. Management varies across the board, there are some managers that really want to help you but for the most part its a lot of yo working hard and taking on extra projects but little to no recognition.

Very low pay, if you're looking to make good money, turn around and look somewhere else, it won't happen at Intact.

    Advice to Management

If you want to keep your employees happy, promote based on their personal track record and what they bring to the table not on who is more likely to kiss up to the managers. There are great employees at the company stuck in positions they are over qualified for.

I worked at Intact full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers. Pay was good. Nice benefits and opportunity to purchase company shares.

    Cons

Workload way over what a person can accomplish. Had to work overtime just to stay afloat. Hit and miss training. Volume of work counted for more than quality. Poor work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

Get real with the workload. Realize that people who are superfast make more mistakes, which adds more work later on. Quality work takes longer. There is a need to strike a balance.

    People are friendly
You have the option to work from home sometimes
Some social outings which are paid for by the company

    Very low pay
    VERY heavy workload

I have been working at Intact full-time (More than 8 years)

    Cons

Managers are uniformly of poor quality.

    Advice to Management

When staff for many years gives a poor perfomance report of a manager, do something about the manager.

    Pros

Benefits and nice colleagues. Good Benefits. Work from home is good for work life balance

    Cons

Do not hire enough people for the work load. Upper management is out of touch. largest emphasis on calls per hour ect, has become more and more like a glorified call centre and not a sustainable career
