Pros

* Great equity and benefits. * Organization is still building itself so there is a lot of green-shoots work and a very low technical bar. * Incredibly easy interview process and hiring screen. * The company itself is stable and not going to dramatically change.

Cons

* Data Science is focused more on name and degree recognition and appearing elite from the outside. * Most Managers have limited technical experience and cannot do the actual work of their ICs. * Stack-ranking leads to a very toxic work environment where people are looking to bring down others to boost their own team. * Any type of promotion past the Senior to Staff level is extremely difficult. Room for growth is limited due to lack of quality Principal, Senior Staff, or technical Managers. * Generally bad morale and company culture since the first major round of layoffs. RTO keeps creeping towards more and more days making the idea of hybrid work limited. * Work/life balance is atrocious and only getting worse. Everyone lies about how much they work so they sound like they are more efficient than they really are.

Large company processes can sometimes make onboarding and finding the right information slower at first.

Pros

I really enjoyed working with Intuit because it was a fast paced environment that pushed me to grow professionally. I appreciated the strong focus on customer experience, the support from leadership, and the opportunity I had to advance into a Tier 2 role within the same season. It strengthened my communication, problem solving, and multitasking skills while allowing me to help customers during stressful situation

Cons

One challenge for me was feeling somewhat disconnected from upper management and operations leadership at times. Most of my direct support and communication came from my team leads, who were very hands on and helpful. I tend to work best in environments where there is strong visibility and engagement from leadership across all levels.
