Pros

As an accessibility leader, I don't waste time building business justifications for making our products more inclusive. Product teams want to know the customer experience, where is it broken, how can it be improved. People respect each other. Integrity without compromise is in our mission and we trust each other. Leadership acts upon employee requests. An example was an intern that was hard of hearing and showed Sasan (Intuit CEO) how she had to use Google's speech to text application. He immediately kicked off a team to investigate live captions and had it ready for his next presentation. Now all leaders include live captioning in all of their presentations. This includes Zoom sessions. One of the best employee compensation packages. Strong emphasis on work to life balance and taking time for mental health and well-being. Vibrant employee groups drive our diversity and inclusion conversations.

Cons

Intuit's work to life balance means many people check out at 5. But this would have bored me as a new engineer at Yahoo. I wanted to work long days to learn everything. I would have missed that if I started early at Intuit. Typical of US-based companies, our colleagues in other parts of the world work longer days to accommodate meetings.

Pros

Benefits are amazing, medical insurance, vision and dental. Company match on 401K and volunteer time off.

Cons

They keep making decisions to outsource jobs to contract workers who don't share the same value in training or customer care. Oh they say they do but when you catch the listening to music so loud you can't hear the customer, or literally snoring on the line they can't do anything because of the way the contracts are set up. It is up to the contract company and the contract company just needs warm bodies. They did not even supply enough people doing our busiest season this year to co or the shifts that were required in the contract. So good luck with that. They will always eventually lay you off.
