Pros

remote work; promises of a decent first bonus to lure you in on a low starting wage

Cons

For all the pretty words and core values, the reality is quite different. There is no "Customer Obsession" down in the ranks or rather, the obsession is with customers' money, not customer service. Customer service is much lower on the totem pole than the number of calls taken per hour. Customers are frequently overcharged and employees are actively discouraged from investigating or issuing refunds. Management discourages any form of independent thought or action. You get punished for even working outside of your hours (for free) when faced with a client deadline. Watching the clock and inputting your timesheet on the dot is vastly more important than any form of customer service or the quality of your work. You get tested on core values, which is tough because they only exist in the imagination of senior management.

Pros

Benefits are amazing, medical insurance, vision and dental. Company match on 401K and volunteer time off.

Cons

They keep making decisions to outsource jobs to contract workers who don't share the same value in training or customer care. Oh they say they do but when you catch the listening to music so loud you can't hear the customer, or literally snoring on the line they can't do anything because of the way the contracts are set up. It is up to the contract company and the contract company just needs warm bodies. They did not even supply enough people doing our busiest season this year to co or the shifts that were required in the contract. So good luck with that. They will always eventually lay you off.
