Pros
5, 10, 15 years ago Iteris was one of the pioneers in the traffic space. Had a great culture and was on a positive business trajectory for double digit growth. A few (only a few) good people still left hanging onto the past.
Cons
Acquisition by Almaviva has been the final step in decimating the-company. Old management is hanging on for big payouts and crushing the remaining motivation and culture that built a great company. Almaviva should renegotiate the ridiculous bonus payouts to the old cronies and use the $ to retain and attract back the top talent that left. Technology platforms for one of the core business groups that was leading the industry is now far behind. The consultant side of the business reputation is now severely tarnished in the industry. You have to feel sorry for the acquiring company but they obviously didn’t do a good job of due diligence and look under the hood.
