Jacobs is no doubt a great company. There are many opportunities for advancement. They avoid layoffs at all costs. There are many locations around the world allowing for state to state transfer. Jacobs has more of a team atmosphere while holding true to a loose traditional hierarchy common to the engineering field. Input is always welcome from everyone.
Cons
It's hard to stay the number one Engineering company. Everyone's gunning for you. Being one of the best engineering companies keeps the workload high in most areas; not really a downside. Being among the best means Jacobs is contracted by the best in each respective industry. Therefore, staying on your toes is imperative; again not really a downside.
