Not that I want to blame everything on Walmart but everything seemed to change when they bought us. Jet's values have always been trust, transparency, and fairness but even the Walmart acquisition itself was kept from us until we had customers calling in and asking about it. We had no idea it was really happening. More and more changes happened and while Jet tried to maintain the uplifting culture and perks, changes in the company and management started to warp our reasons for choosing Jet in the first place. I was on the Quality Assurance team for a year and a half and over night management decided to change that department's role and advised the whole team the next day that they would be choosing 3 people to stay on the team and move forward while everyone else had 3-4 days to find a different department, interview for it in a rush, and either get the position or go back to the floor. However, we were offered an additional option in the last few days to leave Jet all together and get two weeks paid. All of these new changes were meant to better the company that makes sense but it doesn't hold true to those values we started with. Everything started feeling sneaky and it stopped feeling like we were really part of something bigger than ourselves. Ultimately it turned into just another job for me.
