Pros

Knight Frank is a highly regarded name in the property industry. During my six years there, I had the opportunity to work with well-established clients, gain exposure to high-quality instructions, and collaborate with experienced professionals who were generous with their time and expertise. The brand holds strong external credibility, and in the right team, there are meaningful opportunities to learn and develop.

Cons

When I joined, I genuinely believed I had found a company where I could build a long-term career. However, it soon became clear that it was more of a stopgap than a place for sustainable professional growth. One of the most significant issues is the lack of transparency around career progression. There is no clearly defined or consistent framework for advancement, and promotions often seem to hinge on internal relationships or favouritism rather than merit. This has led to a growing sense of frustration among staff and ongoing challenges with talent retention. Support for employee development is limited. Training is sporadic and largely reactive, with few proactive efforts to upskill or prepare staff for the next stage in their careers. As a result, many individuals remain in the same role for extended periods without clarity on what’s required to progress. The company culture is also fragmented. While some teams are inclusive and collaborative, others are noticeably cliquey and unwelcoming. The overall experience can vary dramatically depending on the team or office, making it feel like different businesses are operating under the same brand with little alignment or shared purpose.
