I worked at Knight Frank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Structured environment with corporate leadership, reviews, benefits, advancement opportunity.

    Cons

Sometimes the international range of KF can be a bit confusing. There is a vast difference between Knight Frank offices across the world. Although there is a lot of structure and a clear goal at all offices, they may function differently from one another - even in the same country

    Advice to Management

Consider finding a way to standardize more efficiently across all offices.

I worked at Knight Frank full-time

    Pros

Amazing community, mostly really nice people, strong company brand, image, place in market and ethos, room to grow and try other things, you get really comfortable there, you are well taken care of, the company is very supportive of interests outside of the company, it feels like a family

    Cons

salaries not the best, profits of the business not so evenly and fairly distributed, not the best forward, proactive planning, more reactive

    Advice to Management

don't be too quick to lose good people, reward loyalty more (they are good at this, but could improve), more forward and creative thinking

    Pros

Expose to international clients and family friendly workplace. Good social opportunities and chances to move around the business and see different areas of operatiosn

    Cons

Old school stuffy management, with some out dated attitudes and at times outdated behaviours that didn't always seem appropriate

    Advice to Management

Should modernise, ensure all staff have access to equal opportunities and try and get away from the old boy networks.

    Pros

Clear divide between departments for the majority. Business Heads may occasionally interact with other senior management but there seems to be few opportunities to network, whether it be professional or social.

I have been working at Knight Frank full-time

    Pros

    Nice office and colleagues.

Depending on the team you are in, pace is rather slow with not too stringent standards. If you are looking for a place to cruise, this is it.

    Cons

One-way street communication style between HQ and staff in Singapore. Unsurprisingly - working level staff from the UK have little knowledge of Asia.

Company is constantly short-staffed - at least for the service lines that I worked the closest with. Very little urgency to replace headcount, leaving support staff overworked and demoralised.

    Advice to Management

Walk the talk. Practice what you preach about being a great organisation with international standards and impeccable systems.

HR is useless, stick up for management and bullies
Management use you up with no recognition for work done - they do reward themselves though
No chance for promotion if you don't suck up to management

    Advice to Management

Sack most middle level managers and do something about bullyinh

I worked at Knight Frank full-time

    Pros

Knight Frank has an amicable culture, which makes it a nice company to work with. Most people could strike a balance between life and work. The management is supportive.

    Cons

One of the biggest cons is its undesirable compensation & benefits compared to its competitors in China. Therefore it's very difficult for Knight Frank to retain talents and attract best people.

    Advice to Management

If you really want to retain competent staff and attract talents, you really need to fix the compensation scheme and provide the staff with more benefits.
