I worked at Knight Frank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Structured environment with corporate leadership, reviews, benefits, advancement opportunity.

    Cons

Sometimes the international range of KF can be a bit confusing. There is a vast difference between Knight Frank offices across the world. Although there is a lot of structure and a clear goal at all offices, they may function differently from one another - even in the same country

    Advice to Management

Consider finding a way to standardize more efficiently across all offices.

I worked at Knight Frank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The site where i was posted to was a new developed building. I would call it a stepping stone place where i get to learn and grow during the period at the site. Service providers such as cleaners, security officers and technicians would help one another when there are major works being carried out on site.

    Cons

The building is actually a mixed development building; retail and hotel. Most of the system are linked together. Hence, should there be any issue arises at the retail side, the hotel side will be affected.
No technician provided on a 24 hours basis especially when it is a mixed development building.

    Advice to Management

To look into providing technicians on a 24 hours basis.

    Pros

    Looks good on a cv

    Cons

Long hours - weekend work not recognised - no time in lieu provided
    All about who you 'know'
    No team work

    Advice to Management

Treat all members of the team the same

I worked at Knight Frank full-time

    Pros

Trust in me despite my age. They brought me to all meetings with PE firms and other investors.

    Cons

Not a very numerical approach. They lack specialist people with good data analytics perspective. They think the business will be profitable forever despite disruptions.

I worked at Knight Frank full-time

    Pros

Great people to work with throughout the firm
    Excellent offices and facilities
    Access to senior management

    Cons

    Career progression can be slow
    Decision making can be involved
Distance between fee earning and non fee earning sides of the business

    Advice to Management

Recruit the right people into business support and involve them more in decision making
Don't automatically promote best fee earning staff into managerial positions, unless they have the correct people skills

I have been working at Knight Frank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A good place to start learning for fresh but be prepared to leave after a year or two as there is hardly any career progression and pay increment is bad too.

    Cons

Conflicts within departments and BUs resulting having too much paper works and many time wasting SOP (no trust)

    Advice to Management

Listen to all side of the stories, don't side BUs just because they are the one bringing in the revenue.

    Pros

A great company to work for, with training always available. There is a good support network and everyone will always help a colleague. Good salary and bonuses.

    Cons

Can sometimes be very snobby. Organising / finding Saturday staff can be difficult.

I worked at Knight Frank full-time

    Pros

Amazing community, mostly really nice people, strong company brand, image, place in market and ethos, room to grow and try other things, you get really comfortable there, you are well taken care of, the company is very supportive of interests outside of the company, it feels like a family

    Cons

salaries not the best, profits of the business not so evenly and fairly distributed, not the best forward, proactive planning, more reactive

    Advice to Management

don't be too quick to lose good people, reward loyalty more (they are good at this, but could improve), more forward and creative thinking

I worked at Knight Frank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Expose to international clients and family friendly workplace. Good social opportunities and chances to move around the business and see different areas of operatiosn

    Cons

Old school stuffy management, with some out dated attitudes and at times outdated behaviours that didn't always seem appropriate

    Advice to Management

Should modernise, ensure all staff have access to equal opportunities and try and get away from the old boy networks.

    Pros

professional, experienced & knowledgeable workforce. Support & development opportunities. pay well and good bonus

    Cons

Clear divide between departments for the majority. Business Heads may occasionally interact with other senior management but there seems to be few opportunities to network, whether it be professional or social.
