Pros

The owners try to be very up-front and transparent. Most of middle management is made up of very smart, compassionate and kind people. Definitely has a focus on DEI trainings and keeping up to date with practices. The company is made up of a lot of good people doing their best, Kotis is a company experiencing healthy, stable growth. If you see a job opening at Kotis for something you want, jump on it.

Cons

There were some layoffs a few years ago due to the worldwide economic issues, this left much of the staff stretched thin, which then resulted in some other people leaving the company. Because of this, Kotis has experienced struggles with people knowing their roles and responsibilities as well as understanding the roles and responsibilities of others.

Pros

The flexibility and remote work environment are some of the biggest positives. The people across the company are smart, collaborative, and genuinely good to work with, making it easy to learn from others and work through challenges together. I really appreciate the managers who have been great coaches who genuinely invest in helping employees grow and develop in their careers.

Cons

Priorities and processes can shift quickly , so adaptability and a willingness to ask questions are important to be successful. The fast moving nature of a smaller/medium sized business environment may not be the right fit for everyone, but for people who enjoy being part of a company that can pivot quickly and continue evolving, it can be a very rewarding place to work.

Pros

Co-workers within teams can be friendly and respectful. There's commonly situations where issues can be remedied and improvements made which they can work towards. There's still people who want to get a good product to the customer.

Cons

Leadership continues to show disrespect for employees, carelessness towards the product, and a high amount of micromanagement. The direction of the company is unclear, whims continuing to steer top management while the actual work has to be completed. This lack of focus causes clashes between teams, uneven workloads falling on select teams, then management seeing that as a failure of that team, not a failure of responsibilities being distributed across the entire company. Off-shoring has added onto this, creating new issue, which anyone entering the company needs to expect.
