+ stable job + great for retirement + low turnover; people stay for a long time + work-life balance + decent bonus + aws + no challenge, can work the same job for 10 years + some allowance + people are generally nice and polite
Cons
- low pay, low increment, severely below market rate - promote based on seniority - benefits no change for many years - low annual leave - basic benefits - typical japanese culture - no flexibility, strict culture, micromanaging, no trust for employees, no open door policy - people have biased thinking and old fashion mindset - lots of processes and paperwork - difficult to no room for change/improvement
