Free pair of glasses a year, some nice customers that make for a little break in the day. Days off!
Cons
Stressful!! Too many trackers....how many customers bought glasses from in store dr., how many cleaners sold, how many of certain type of lenses. Job is threatened if those goals aren't met. Basically selling things to customers who don't need it just to meet a goal-not a true optical job where customer needs are met but strictly a high pressure retail store where sales are more important. Staffing is low so a few people do all the extra work plus try to make ridiculous goals.....while others don't pitch in but grab all the sales. Just a bad stressful atmosphere in a no win situation bound to get worse as labs are closing adding checking in jobs coming from main lab to the daily duties of the retail staff.
