Pros
Free pair of glasses a year, good vision benefits, decent health benefits, fast paced environment, good place to enter into the optometric field of work
Cons
Lenscrafters has a good customer service model with their "brand culture" but it is a horrible business plan all in an effort to try and stay competitive with their competition. That being said if anyone things or believes that you are not "100% committed" to their brand culture you are encouraged to fire those employees. There are several employees at my store that have years of experience in the optometry industry, but because they dont tell enough "brand stories" or "or live the brand culture" they are considered dead weight. There is a major problem with this company that they are not willing to look at (i am not sure if that is because Luxottica is looking to sell the company or what) but if they continue to berate and belittle experienced personnel then all they are going to have is alot on inexperienced sales people (all of which came from failing businesses in my store) who are mainly concerned about their commission and not about the health of patients eyes. The other problem is that in an effort to stay competitive the owners of LensCrafters (Luxottica) has cut the quality of their lenses as well as frames thus making a lower quality product than what you can buy elsewhere and yet they still feel the need to try and charge you twice as much. I honestly could not work at this company any longer due to its shady business model, as well as horrible customer service is encouraged all in an effort to preserve their daily budget (My manager would consistently tell associates to tell customers that she was not their so she could not approve their returns and that they would have to come back later because she didn't want to miss her goal for the day) All in all an aging company that has no idea on how to treat its employees are how to effectively stay competitive in a down economy....stay away from working at this company at all costs.
