Pink Collar Pay - Kids Academy Supervisor Life Time Employee Review

Pros

The kids and facilities are fantastic.

Cons

Life time must believe there is more technical skills needed to make a smoothie than to take care of dozens of children including infants because the cafe staff makes considerably more an hour than the kids team members. The turn over rate in the kids academy is incredibly high because the pay rate is only 10.50/hr for normal team members and 12/hr for supervisors with no options for full-time employment. This means we are constantly understaffed, it's incredibly hard to take time off, we are constantly having to train in new staff, and most people consider their paycheck to be completely insignificant. If people stay, it's just for the gym membership and they have to work two other jobs to cover the bills. It's outrageous how little Life Time seems to care about the well-being of their youngest members.

Pros

Free Membership Cool employees Discounts on services

Cons

They don’t pay anything, and the CEO should honestly be ashamed. If employees were paid properly, there wouldn’t be so much drama and tension in the workplace. Communication is terrible because management doesn’t even seem to care — probably because they’re getting crumbs too. Spa management was dreadful, and the demotion was necessary. How do you fail to have people booked during major holidays when the money and clientele are clearly there? There was no structure, no leadership, and no motivation for employees to succeed. Having a successful spa for 3 years and coming into this environment I was not impressed. No growth, no support, no appreciation. Loved the members tho! And S/O to Leemar, Virgil and Dr. Hayden love them down!
