Toxic culture - Operations LocalEdge Employee Review

LocalEdge has a deeply toxic work culture where no one knows very much about what they're doing. They compensate with hostility and you're-not-working-hard-enough accusations to make up the gap. The products are truly awful. I wasn't in sales, but I pity those who are. I was routinely asked to defend a suite of internet marketing things that would have been outdated in 2002. The core product is a simple, one-page website with a silly business description, address and phone number. This is often upsold to include SEO services that are little more than repeating keywords and putting things like "LANDSCAPING SERVICE" in bold type. They'll also happily sell you a facebook and twitter account that gets generic posts with links back to your absurd, 2002 vintage landing page. I was a high performer at this company and resigned on good terms over a year ago. I'm posting because I heard from an old coworker that they're trying to manipulate their glassdoor presence by asking current employees to post reviews. LocalEdge is a bad company that's bad to its employees. It sells ridiculous products to small businesses that don't know enough about the internet to steer clear. Don't work here, and don't give them any money.
