Pros

The best reason to work at LoopNet is that is it is location is perfect...right across from the ball park means easy commute and lot of parking if you opt to drive. LoopNet offers commuter dollars or pays for over 80% of your parking which is GREAT. The People...enough said. Like any company LoopNet size there is going to be a few people or managers you can't stand..however I made long term friends at LoopNet. Also the perks, random days off, paid holidays, random days when the office close early usually on Fridays...Friday happy hours in the office EVERY FRIDAY!!! The higher paid managers often take you out for drinks and apps.

Cons

Virtually NO ONE leaves LoopNet once they become mid to senior managers..so that means there is little if any room to move up or out of the position you were first hired in even after 3-5 years. Promotions here takes forever and even after your first promotion the next one is years away. LN may toss you a little more money once a year however. Make the right friends in the right places quickly...NEVER be late to work...like ever and even though LoopNet is a fun place to work be cautious and never do anything to allow anyone to ever think you are negative person. Again, you will never buy a house working at LoopNet unless you were lucky enough to get stock before the company went public, or you somehow become a manager in a department or capacity that does not directly threaten the LoopNet Establishment of the entrenched Middle management team. If you get a job at LoopNet where you are taking power away from another manager God help you...and you will probably not last long...so hold off on that house.

It is a growing division and feels like a start up company. With that are some learning curves and growing pains.
