Pros

Paid time off is generous. Get to learn what an awful job is like.

Cons

I worked at Mapfre as my first job after graduating college. The pay is laughable considering they were requiring a bachelor's degree for the job at the time. Workday consists of taking random phone calls from unhappy customers back to back all day. Customers will generally tell you about how much they hate you, the company, and the car insurance industry for ~20 minutes before they hang up and your phone rings again. Can be closer 40+ minutes for customers who are senile or dont speak english (this is common). If you want to get paid next to nothing to be an overworked punching bag for a greedy car insurance company then this is the job for you. Had I not found a better paying job with enjoyable work then I would probably have offed myself. To those currently still working here: stop fantasizing about quitting and just do it - the grass really is greener on the other side.

Pros

The people working there form a great team. The workplace has decent flexibility hours and work from home arrangements; however, work from home is extremely tedious and doesn't work well - leading to potential issues.

Cons

Low & uncompetitive salaries. Work is never ending, in a bad way. Decisions are made without considering the right employees and there is a major cost cutting exercise by eliminating employees, meaning not a steady job.
