    Pros

    Marriott is a great place to work. Above all, they value their people, their customers and their integrity. You will feel like you have a family at work and a lot of opportunity to learn and grow. You will never want to leave the company.

    Cons

    The hospitality industry is heavily dependent on the ability for travel. Something like a pandemic can turn the industry upside down but it is one of the most rewarding industries to work in.

    A Company with many different career paths

    Pros

    * Many different career options available and lots of upward mobility possibilities * Company puts significant effort into treating employees well and gathering employee feedback regularly * Loyalty to its associates has resulted in MANY having a great deal of longevity with the company * Compensation is generally fair for each position * Lots of great people as your coworkers and in management. Most everyone at the company is great and someone you would want as a personal friend. * For a large company, they are generally adaptable and open to change/updates

    Cons

    * Interview process is challenging, particularly for higher level positions * Difficult to start off high up within the organization. due to strong hiring from within preference. It is often easier to start lower and work your way up the ladder. * Often sales goals are inflexible even when there are major changes to accounts (i.e. divestitures) * Some systems are old, but the company regularly investigates and invests in updates and new systems * Insane volumes of email to manage in many positions.
