Pros

The best part of working for Mars is being associated with some great brands like M&Ms and Snickers. Mars encourages growth and learning. They are not process oriented, but rather results oriented. You are encouraged to get results using whatever process works for you. Mars is a very collaborative environment. Networking is essential. Your experience at Mars will be very dependant on the quality of your manager.

Cons

Too much pretending. Very, very political and it is very risky to go against the crowd. Mars can be an overly competitive environment. It would be better to focus our efforts on the competition outside of the company.

Pros

I’ve been at Mars (Yorkville site) for about three months as a Quality Systems Senior Specialist, and so far it’s been a great experience. Everyone has been genuinely friendly, welcoming, and willing to help. The culture feels very supportive—people want to see you succeed and are quick to share knowledge and offer guidance. My manager has been amazing and is truly invested in my growth. She’s helped set clear expectations, encouraged development, and provided the tools and support I need to be successful.

Cons

None so far—still new, but my experience has been very positive.
