Pros

The pay is decent and there are some dedicated employees who help out tremendously.

Cons

They claim they are diversified but they are unfair against Blacks. Not all but a few Supervisors favor young girls and abuse their authority. Filing complaints and reporting them only causes retaliation. They will bully you and do anything to get you to quit or fire you for unfair unjust reasons. If you are a favorite then they will pull strings and to erase points and let you get away with everything. It doesn’t matter how excellent your work ethic is. Nothing is done about the reports and they continue to treat people like crap. They will go out of their way to promote a person of color unless they have no choice! The meijer trucks are disgusting and the forklifts are all broken. They give you the bare minimum training and write you up for things they haven’t properly trained you on. They fed us Chicken and watermelon for black history month and only put pictures on the window on the entrance. They decorate the break room for all other holidays. They overload you work unless you work 1st shift. The responsibility falls on all the other shifts. I wouldn’t refer this place to anyone of color or over 40. I’ve saw them mistreat so many wonderful hard working employees and yet nothing is being done! The upper management is like a gang. They stick together and condone misconduct of the Leads/Supervisors. They say “We’re conducting an investigation!” And do nothing. Then they go tell the supervisors you complained and they all gang up on you and harass you until you get so stressed out that you start calling in or quit or mess up and they immediately fire you.

Pros

The fashions manager was nice and she was understanding about circumstances and things that just come up in life. The points system was also cool because you could cash out points for restaurant or Mastercard gift cards on top of regular pay.

Cons

After the remodel, they started cutting everyone's hours because they couldn't afford the workers they already had. This was irritating because they would cut part timers down to 12 hours a week but give you four hour shifts, so you didn't qualify for breaks you were already used to and also because four hours is not a lot of time to get down and dirty in a task and actually do it well.
