It’s empowering to build meaningful relationships with those on your caseload and have the opportunity to positively impact a child’s life. The staff are supportive if you reach out, and while the work can be busy, it fosters a sense of autonomy without excessive micromanagement.

The role may involve unpredictable court dates and a high turnover rate, as well as occasional emergency visits with children.
