Pros

My opinion is that the QA team is the best team to work with for this company. The director of QA is great. She is very understanding, flexible and intelligent. She is one of the only good leaders in the company. Some growth opportunity but very circumstantial, which could also be interpreted as a con.

Cons

The products, for the most part, are poorly managed and poorly designed. The company is not able to sell the products and over half a dozen rounds of layoffs in a short period of time cut the Raleigh staff in half. Upper management is a joke. Don't expect to be treated as an equal and don't expect important company news to be communicated to you in an honest or frequent fashion. The lower you are on the totem-pole, the harder you will be required to work and the less you will be appreciated. The company restructured and specific guidelines from each channel of leadership were different and not communicated.

Pros

The company was founded is run by CEO Kris Collo and CTO Mike Cerniglia. Both are young, bright, rational, generous and fair. The company pays 100% of premiums for an excellent healthcare plan -- that alone is worth at least an extra $10K in salary. The work environment is casual, friendly and fun. Catered breakfast is provided every Thursday. All employees are issued iPads as standard equipment. The company is in the process of building out an aggressive telework program, and it's easy to work from home whenever convenient. The company provides generous gifts and bonuses at the end of the year.

Cons

The company added more than 50 employees in 2012. This has left the headquarters a little overcrowded. There are a very limited number of offices. The open floor plan of the office can make for a noisy work environment with limited personal space. There are few meeting rooms, which although occasionally inconvenient tends to discourage unnecessary meetings.
