Pros

Compressed Work Week and good pay for area if you can get promoted. Company is very good about promoting from within. You can make a good deal of career progress without a degree. Unfortunately when the chip market is down jobs are shed, leaving it hard to find comparable work with no degree.

Cons

Effort is rewarded much more than results. Extra hours for salaried production is expected, even if there are no projects to work on. You also have a wide range of management ability and styles within a relatively small organization. Management changes with the wind and you end up having 5-6 different direct supervisors within a 2 year span.

Pros

Decent pay, great stock grants and stock purchase plan. You can be at the forefront of memory technology driving today's AI megaboom, and benefit from the high demand (i.e. soaring stock price).

Cons

Little sense of community, lifeless office environment, dead-eyed and overworked employees. "Flexible work arrangements" in name only, as recent policy changes have significantly reduced effectiveness especially if you have a long commute or family life. Too much emphasis on unimportant buzz such as embracing diversity and inclusion is just annoying, but par for the course in today's big tech industry.
