Pros

-- Boise is an AWESOME place to live. -- Lots of smart, hard-working people -- Many opportunities for professional growth (depending on what department you're in) -- Excellent time-off benefits -- Micron has repeatedly demonstrated that it can weather the storms inherent to the semi-con industry.

Cons

-- Lack of cooperation among different sites creates challenges for all departments -- Highly contentious environment; strong us-vs.-them mentality (and behavior) among different departments -- There is often a greater emphasis on hours worked than on work accomplished. -- Physical environment is bleak. If you have a problem with the color gray and with windowless rooms, you'll have a problem working here. -- Good Ol' Boys Club -- New initiatives are not given a chance to work and to become a part of the culture before they are replaced by newer initiatives. Management always seems to be looking for the next bright, shiny object.

Pros

Decent pay, great stock grants and stock purchase plan. You can be at the forefront of memory technology driving today's AI megaboom, and benefit from the high demand (i.e. soaring stock price).

Cons

Little sense of community, lifeless office environment, dead-eyed and overworked employees. "Flexible work arrangements" in name only, as recent policy changes have significantly reduced effectiveness especially if you have a long commute or family life. Too much emphasis on unimportant buzz such as embracing diversity and inclusion is just annoying, but par for the course in today's big tech industry.
