Pros

The job they got me is good, but Mindlance so far is literally the worst.

Cons

Where do I even begin? So far they are a terrible contracting company. Starting out, I applied for a job thats in the field I want to get into. A recruiter reaches out and sets up an interview, but during a time that I work. They refused to work with me to reschedule it on a day I have off work and tell me to call in to work sick so I can make the interview because the company cant reschedule. Since its in my dream career field, I did. (I talked about this with my now supervisor and she says thats ridiculous, she would have rescheduled.) I get to the interview and it turns out its for a completely different position than the one I applied to, BUT, same type of work, so I ended up accepting the position. In addition, they are kind of like a circling vulture car salesman. The agency was constantly texting me followed up directly by phone calls about the same topic, before I could even finish reading their paragraph long texts during on-boarding. They continue to this day to text me at 5 or 6 AM which I feel is unprofessional and downright rude. During on boarding, they would PRESSURE me to do things like get my drug test, covid test, or get my paperwork together immediately. Look people- I have another job I am working long hours at, plus a family, and a life outside of work. I cannot drop everything I am doing to get this done same day, if it takes me a day or two, so be it. If I say I will get it done, trust that I will, there was plenty of time to get everything done by the deadline without you HOUNDING me every day. I was constantly missing their calls and therefore received a bunch of text messages from the recruiter because I have a busy schedule and cannot always get to the phone or reply right away. I gave them a time window in which I am guaranteed to answer- yet for some reason they called me pretty much at any hour besides this window. The whole experience was sketchy with all the information they were wanting and how desperate for it they were. If the company Im working for did not do an in person interview, I would have assumed its a scam. (Even after the interview, it seemed like a scam in the back of my mind). Speaking of scam, the recruiter asked me for all of my personal information (Name, address, and SSN) OVER AN EMAIL and tells me its the only way possible for them to get me the job. Not an encrypted email. Not a secure website. Just regular ole email. By this time I was already annoyed with this company because they already seemed sketchy, so I said **** no and told them I dont want the job and got less than polite with them. At this point they panic and someone that speaks english as a first language immediately calls me to offer a work around to this. Like what the heck, why don't you do this anyway to begin with? Makes absolutely no sense. In addition, since the company I work for uses staffing agencies, they are not privy to how much I get paid. Mindlance would not negotiate my wage with me and it turns out I am being paid far less than my co-workers. So thats nice. The person that deals with me now that I am hired is also terrible. Pretty much every email they send me has had a wrong date/ deadline or just misinformation in general and they're constantly sending me revised emails. You literally have one job to do. The irony is the emails often have advice on how to be a good employee and excel in your role. Please take your own advice. Overall, I find the company annoying , unprofessional, and desperate for their commission. If the company Im currently with wasn't in my dream field, I would have ran away from this deal.

Pros

Company okay, very communicative when they need something done.

Cons

Benefits are horrible, no pto, medical is the most basic government benefits. If you elect to enroll in 401k it does not vest until you are with the company over 1-2 years.
