Pros
I've been here for more than 3 years, and I have learnt a lot from the first day at my job. Generally they hire freshers right out of college and I was one such hire. I've learnt a lot from my experience here in the form of technical skills, handling client conversations and managing my time. MuSigma has a steep learning curve. It has provided me - - Exposure to directly working with clients and interacting with them, thereby improving my communication, storyboarding, and presentation skills - Flexibility to learn analytics across multiple business horizontals and verticals (From Insurance to Retail to CPG to pharma - they have it all) - A great set of colleagues and mentors who are all in the same age bracket as me (For a college graduate, the first few months of training feel exactly like we're back in college) - A chance to learn a lot of technologies (different clients had different data architectures and used different platforms)
Cons
Coming to challenges, - - Lower compensation for the first couple of years (for a bachelor living in a city like Bangalore) - Fixed timings (even if I had no work for a day, I would have to stay at work from 1pm to 10pm) - FIXED timings (I used to drive to work and if I got even a few minutes late - which usually happens due to Bangalore traffic or elevators being full - I would have to apply for half day off) - Long working hours - even though the in-time for the company is fixed, they have no such restraint on the out time. Clients have made us work till sunrise at times - Enforced career path - after 3 years of working here I have no choice but to become a Manager/Apprentice Leader - which is probably a good thing for people pursuing MBA plans, however for someone who is more interested in the technical side of the work it is a pain
