Pros

Fast paced - you will learn a lot if you push yourself Consultants are usually good at sharing knowledge and helping one another Your immediate colleagues are good company who will teach you what they know and trade war stories Some jobs and clients are fascinating. You will see interesting solutions to real problems and get to poke at what other people have built You get to see how a range of companies work and trial run lots of kinds of role - the best way to work out what you want to do in future

Cons

So many good people have left. Couple of reasons: 1) pay is seriously uncompetitive 2) promotion is arbitrary and you have to argue the toss for it. Unless you are in Manchester and went to the correct university and are friends with management. 3) they altered the consultant incentive scheme mid year with no consultation. The new scheme is confusing and not as generous There is a transformation project which seems to have good aims but it means that there are more and more expensive change consultants cluttering up the top and it all has to be paid for with consultant sweat. Some people seem arbitrarily lumbered with nothing but rubbish jobs for rubbish clients at rubbish day rates. These drag and get samey so you don’t learn much. Your fate depends on whether scheduling and management like you.

Pros

Remote work, good 401k match, decent health benefits and bonus.

Cons

Lack of transparency from management, U.S. offices a thing of the past.. The company was once a powerhouse filled with top minds across the cyber & technology field, they're few and far between now.
