Great if you’re a FTE, not a contractor - Manager NIKE Employee Review

Pros

One of the best brands in the world. Exciting projects, great people (smart, creative). Work is fast-paced.

Cons

If you’re a contractor, prepare to be treated like a second class citizen. The cultural divide between FTE and ETWs (external temporary workers) is unlike anything I’ve seen in my career. Although Nike claims to operate under #OneTeam, contractors are constantly left off important emails (return to work plans, re org announcements), they don’t have access to professional development opportunities like mentorship programs or formalized goal setting or feedback sessions, or learning modules. Worst of all (IMO), despite being a brand that emphasizes creating “the daily habit of sport”, NONE of the campus workout facilities, gyms, fitness classes are available for ETWs to join, even as a guest. You’ll have a different colored badge and limited building access on campus, despite the expectation to live in Beaverton or Portland to work on campus with FTEs. Not to mention, you’ll have (ETW - (name) in your email signature so there’s always a reminder that you are “other”.
