Pros

Great people. Broad portfolio. Investment in Solution Selling

Cons

Management acts like an operating system over the Ops and salesforce...which is the machine. This is not one unit functioning towards a goal. The machine is tweaked and limited - produce more, cost less. Decisions are made in an insulated manner and sometimes are quite off, causing huge damage (like the time they aligned 5 specialists to work a single account without any leader accross the entire customer base...lost clients and Cisco AM relationships). When you work here in sales you are inspected and regulated and interaction with management is dominated by forcasting...endless salesforce.com inspection calls. Dimension Data is very proud of its methodology and will take every opportunity to create more. Risk is over-addressed by process and meetings and reviews of reviews. Smart people watching smart people who are overseen by other smart people...get it? Too transactional - can't seem to break out

Pros

I have worked with NTT DATA as a government IT and project management consultant since 2018, starting with Cognosante before the acquisition. My experience has been very positive. I have had the autonomy to focus on the success of my team and my client, while also having the support of a large, high-performing organization. There are real opportunities for growth, strong training resources, and leaders who genuinely care about employees, clients, and the communities they serve. I have also been promoted during my time here, which reflects the company’s commitment to recognizing and developing talent.

Cons

As with many large organizations, processes and systems and can sometimes take time to navigate, especially during periods of growth or transition. Continued focus on communication and simplifying internal processes would make the employee experience even stronger.
