Pros
Working there will shorten your life expectancy, reducing the overall time you suffer.
Cons
Do you like disorder? Do you like misery? How about constantly being emotionally beaten down until you've become someone you don't recognize anymore? Well I have the place for you! It's National Grid! The hours are long, and the competence is short. Over my time there I saw vicious bullying, disrespect of subordinates, impossible hours with no thanks given to the employees, an entire team turned over within a one year period due to mistreatment, and most of all I saw a group of apathetic people worked into the ground by unyielding cruelty on the part of management. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to work here, which is ironic, since so many of my worst enemies already work at this company! Life can be beautiful, and full of surprises. But you will find no beautiful surprises at this company! The only surprises you will find at National Grid are constantly clogged toilets, and managers who find inventive ways to tear your soul to pieces. In short, I implore you to never work here. My therapist says that in a mere 20 years I may be able to get over working at National Grid, but I know as I lay sleepless at night picturing walking through those awful revolving doors every morning, that some experiences can haunt you for a lifetime. Also, this company stinks!
