Pros

Small Company - You know everyone around. Even though this is changing currently, but the core culture is still very informal. Flat Hierarchy - You can contact senior managers straight off if you have issues. Good Pay - The starting pay is very good. Good Work-Life Balance - This means you are not found slogging it out always.

Cons

Poor Hikes - Even though they pay well in the beginning, they make up for it by poor hikes. In the end, one would wonder if you'd be better off somewhere else. Unique Technology - Paralyzes your aspirations and chances of working outside Poor Training - Quite often, you will be stuck with things you don't know and you'll have to do your own research. While it seems to be good, this only results in lack-luster performance on your part or poor quality, not to mention waste of time. Highly Polarized Recruitment Policy - Instead of going for reputed colleges, the recruitment process is relying on local colleges way too much. This, as a result, is lowering the quality of engineers being recruited. Also, untrained/inexperienced interviewers lead to poor judgment. Lack of transparency in compensation policies - There is no way I can know whether they're telling the truth about how things are with my peers. Its just a matter of trust, and judging by their overall policies, it is very hard to do that.

Pros

The people and the culture! Mostly very helpful, smart, fun loving group of employees. NI hired a lot for culture fit and that made the day to day a lot of fun.

Cons

Company vision from the higher ups suffered greatly after the pandemic.
