Budget cuts leave us with faulty equipment and not enough supplies, lack of clinical support, many med-surg patients are ICU acuity level (floor nurses manage insulin drips with 4-5 other patients), always short-staffed, Atrium cutting benefits drastically (like the recent 3 month PTO freeze), low pay, can’t keep staff, management doesn’t care about health or well-being of employees, and so much more.
