Pros
Good benefits. The (powerless) layer of middle management is generally trying to do the right thing.
Cons
Sallie Mae took most of the best people when Navient split off from it. Upper management is out of touch and has unrealistic expectations, which filters all the way down. The (powerless) layer of middle management is generally just trying to make them happy, so almost no communication occurs upwards, furthering the cycle.
