Pros

The amount of hotel points you will get, along with the 8-6/7-7 schedules is great. You can plan your vacation years in advance. Upgrade times have dropped significantly. The owners are typically very understanding and great people.

Cons

Where do I begin. The ELT has completely lost touch with the individuals who move the metal. The turnover in the CMH is insane ( It was called strat-ops , now it's scheduling give it 6 months it will change again) The individuals that move the pieces around to no fault of their own, are thrown to the wolves. These poor people have a hard time making decisions regarding where to move the plane and when. Now regarding circadian rhythm. Asking a human to change time zones by three hours, go to sleep then in exactly 12 hours wake up and fly for 6 hours, go to the hotel, sleep for 10 hours and wake up and fly at 8 am in another time zone. You will be whiplashed on your sleep, you will not get a say in it. You can fatigue but you will be punished (aircraft will be removed from the crew, and you will airline to a broken aircraft where you will sit until it is ready or your go home day. Which ever is first.)Lastly the pay. 30percent of your pay is not guaranteed. Some people may be confused by this. Well 30 percent of your pay comes from FDP or basically flying over 10 hours. here is the kicker, you don't have control over it at all. So you can fly tired or you can fly and make a pay check, but you cant have your cake and eat it as well.

Pros

They pay 100% of your premiums for benefits. This is how they retain a lot of employees because the base knows that they can get paid better salary elsewhere, but not a lot of places at this size will offer that. As long as the richest of the rich people want to fly private, this business is going nowhere so there's a lot of job stability for people who keep their head down and only offer up ideas their senior leaders can present as their own.

Cons

Office politics, drama, "traditional" ways of thinking (enjoy those 2 days at home while you can!) - all this can be your's for a mid (if you're lucky) to low end of the market range salary & you'll need to work as hard as you can for a Meets Expectations and a 3% increase (that by the way, you should be honored to receive). It was sad to see that there were great people in these walls at all levels, but many of the Director/VP level individuals who have convinced themselves they are peers to the clients that NetJets serves because they get an opportunity to shake their hands once a quarter was a major disappointment. It was especially disappointing to see how women in leadership capacities were condescending about other women who were trying to advance their careers and stand up for themselves in a male-dominated industry.
