I loved my job at Novant, but they let me go and used part time cna's to replace me. - Nurse Novant Health Employee Review

Pros

Can't think of any right now, I'm unemployed, along with over 300 other employees that never saw it coming. When I started there, they made me feel so confident and comfortable and I was proud to say I worked for Novant. Now I'm embarrassed to say I worked for them, and I'm having to try really hard to gain my self confidence back.

Cons

They don't treat their employees with compassion. But they drill it in your head that's how they want their employees to treat patients. Compassion starts with how you treat your employees. How can employees give a remarkable experience when they're constantly looking over their shoulder, afraid of being let go.

Pros

Of all the companies I have worked for Novant has been the best experience. I moved back into leadership after years of having stepped back from leadership due to burnout and frustration. Novant invests more than any company I have seen in both frontline and leader development, with cohesive messaging about priorities. I truly enjoy the teams I work with.

Cons

IT was moved to overseas a few years back. They back-pedaled on this and moved some aspects back to domestic coverage, but overall, I can't see where this improves operational efficiency despite surface level savings.

Pros

I had a great experience as a Research Assistant at Novant Health. The team was welcoming, collaborative, and supportive of learning. I gained valuable experience in clinical research, data collection, patient interactions, and working alongside healthcare professionals. The environment encouraged professional growth, and I appreciated the opportunity to contribute to meaningful research while developing skills that will benefit my future career in healthcare.

Cons

Depending on the project, the workload could fluctuate, and some tasks were repetitive, such as data entry and documentation. However, these responsibilities are a normal part of research and helped reinforce attention to detail.
