I have been working at Novant Health full-time

    Pros

Our patient satisfaction survey scores are among the best in the nation, and team members take pride in keeping them there.

It's a small hospital with no critical care units (no ICU or CCU) so while it can be very busy, it's nowhere near the demands of a larger facility.

The facility is new and well-kept. No parking decks to navigate.

Benefits are good and health insurance costs are reasonable.

There's a patio and garden outside the Cafe - great to be able to get outside to eat lunch when the weather's nice.

    Cons

    Raises are not merit based.

    Advice to Management

Keep recognizing the contributions of your team members.

I worked at Novant Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Job stability for as long as you would like. The vision and mission is practice daily. It’s really not a bad place to work.

    Cons

Not much advancement unless you have a degree or network with department heads in the system. The computer system needs alittle upgrade; especially to keep up with other healthcare providers in the area.

    Advice to Management

I suggest after 10 years of dedication that the staff that caps out (pay) in their profession should be allowed a 1 hour lunch.

I worked at Novant Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

They truly do put the patient first, and it’s great to feel like you are making a difference even as a nonclinical employee. I would return for the right role!

    Cons

Our team underwent a restructure and wound up with some unfavorable changes. There also aren’t many merit-based opportunities for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Create employee growth plans to help keep talent.

Benefits. Good luck getting them though. Schedule was reasonable.

    Cons

Poor pay. Poor management. Lack of moral among staff. Micro managing immediate supervisors that have little to no communication skills. Lack of equipment and storage for treatment. Unrealistic productivity standards.

    Advice to Management

Don’t lie to would be employees regarding fully time positions. This directly impacts one’s life. Beware incoming PRN staff looking for future “full time” with this company in the outpatient rehab setting.
