Pros

Some good people, very good quality healthcare for patients, fast growing organization, generally well respected in the industry.

Cons

Extremely stressful environment, right hand often does not know what the left is doing, communication is very challenging. Some aspects of the medical group's clinic culture are quite toxic and leaders have very unrealistic expectations. Like most organizations, success and satisfaction with work will depend upon what team you are on and who your supervisor is. Incredible amount of unnecessary meetings makes getting things done very difficult. Entirely too much micromanagement from multiple clinical leaders creates difficult and stressful work atmosphere. A real problem of distrust throughout the leadership group. Cut throat stab in the back leadership that burns their people. Very real (and voiced!) culture that you must conform to the Novant way or you do not fit. They talk of diversity, acceptance, individuality, inclusiveness, etc. but at the end of the day the only thing that matters is the bottom line. Must walk lock step and conform in speech, style, behavior to what they want or you will be gone. By far the most miserable and sickening and stressful environment I have ever seen or heard of. Many unhappy doctors and clinic managers. The company leadership dyad model has the physicians running the place which is not working. Clinic senior leaders treat team members as a number instead of respecting them.

Pros

Care associates are allowed to do what CNAs do, but they do not have to have the certification. Entry level pay is the same and there are equal raises between roles each year. Part time status an average of 24 hr/week, you can work more than that and you receive full benefits, two forms of bonus every year, immediate PTO (80hrs/year). 12 or 8 hour shifts available, make your own schedule

Cons

sometimes short staffed unit, so work becomes fast-paced - if you like being active and constantly moving, this job is fun.
