Pros

Most employees are good to work with. Many have been there for years, even before Novant bought it. They take pride in where they work. Easy commute from anywhere.

Cons

Novant does not care about their employees. When employees leave they are not replaced. Emails are sent weekly hounding about NO overtime. Novant is a company who only cares about their money. They want you to deliver great care but don't give a hoot about the employees and what they have to work with. Now they are saying we are lucky to have a job as other hospitals are closing down. Is this a mind game they are playing or are they thinking of closing? Don't waste your time with this one.

Pros

Care associates are allowed to do what CNAs do, but they do not have to have the certification. Entry level pay is the same and there are equal raises between roles each year. Part time status an average of 24 hr/week, you can work more than that and you receive full benefits, two forms of bonus every year, immediate PTO (80hrs/year). 12 or 8 hour shifts available, make your own schedule

Cons

sometimes short staffed unit, so work becomes fast-paced - if you like being active and constantly moving, this job is fun.
