Pros

I have been working at Paycom for 6 years, starting straight out of college. When I joined Paycom, we were a much smaller company. Looking back now, I realize that I found a diamond in the rough. People ask me ALL the time what I like most about working here and I tell them honestly it changes from month to month or year to year. The one constant is the upward mobility I have had. To be 6 years out of college and a top sales executive with a publicly held software company is pretty amazing! I love the career and of course we all love the monetary reward as well. Every dollar I have to my name I earned through hard work here at Paycom and it has afforded me an amazing lifestyle I never thought was possible. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything! Paycom is extremely honest about the level of work ethic we expect with our sales team. We hire the best and brightest nation wide and expect hard work! The reason why is because the REWARD FAR exceeds the work put in. I have never heard of a single company that offers the money, career advancement and incentives to their sales staff like Paycom- its truly incredible.

Cons

Honestly, for being so rapidly growing, Paycom does a great job making adjustments in our processes when necessary. Every fast growing company will experience some growing pains, however, we seem to get ahead of those before they actually happen.

Pros

* Fast learning and professional skill growth. * Great people and strong teams. * Recognized name in the OKC community. * Valuable experience that strengthens future career opportunities, especially in Tech.

Cons

Over the past couple of years, career growth has felt extremely limited. Promotions and meaningful raises have become increasingly rare, and many employees believe these decisions are being driven from the very top. Layoffs and terminations have also become common, creating a constant sense of uncertainty. High performers often take on high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines and limited support. The expectations are unrealistic, and even successful delivery doesn’t usually lead to recognition or advancement. Leadership tends to make decisions very late, creating unnecessary urgency and forcing teams into last-minute scrambles. Benefits have declined, opportunities for advancement have become scarce, and overall morale has suffered significantly. There are talented people here and it can be a good place to gain experience, but I would view it primarily as a stepping stone rather than a long-term destination.
