Pros

-Sales Training at HQ lead by Jeff York was very informative. -Medical Insurance is great ($1)

Cons

Prior to accepting the offer at Paycom, I did review some Glassdoor reviews to learn a bit about the company culture and I definitely came across many reviews that were red flags. However, I thought I will create my own experience and ignored all the red flags and my gut feeling. I've never worked at a company with such a toxic/ unethical work culture . Please think twice before working here. There are many other great sales opportunities out there where companies treat their employees with respect and have an ethical structure in place. - Sales Managers have their favorite sales reps and executive sales reps. My Sales Manager would literally "hand" deals to them and run the sales process for them and they would be set up for success for not working the deal on their own compare to other sales reps that were having to work on their own deals. -Turnover is Paycom's strategy!! I had 3 Sales Rep either resign or got fired within a time frame of 8 months. They took those deals and handed those deals to other sales reps. - Witnessed two sales reps get 4 deals handed to them based on favoritism while other sales rep weren't even helped with one unit. -Expected to work 11+ hrs/ day and answer sales manager's calls at even 8PM or 9PM. -This company decides who gets a performance write up and who doesn't. I was let go in middle of the day without having any performance discussion during my career at Paycom. Got a call saying this is their final decision and it's my last day. While my other co-worker got a write up and the opportunity to improve. -After I was let go without cause, the deals that were in the final stages of closing got handed to another Sales Rep who only needed that quota in order to get promoted. - After you get terminated at Paycom, Sales Manager is not allowed to have any communication with the former employee. So if you have any questions, don't depend on getting an answer from a Sales Manager.

Pros

* Fast learning and professional skill growth. * Great people and strong teams. * Recognized name in the OKC community. * Valuable experience that strengthens future career opportunities, especially in Tech.

Cons

Over the past couple of years, career growth has felt extremely limited. Promotions and meaningful raises have become increasingly rare, and many employees believe these decisions are being driven from the very top. Layoffs and terminations have also become common, creating a constant sense of uncertainty. High performers often take on high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines and limited support. The expectations are unrealistic, and even successful delivery doesn’t usually lead to recognition or advancement. Leadership tends to make decisions very late, creating unnecessary urgency and forcing teams into last-minute scrambles. Benefits have declined, opportunities for advancement have become scarce, and overall morale has suffered significantly. There are talented people here and it can be a good place to gain experience, but I would view it primarily as a stepping stone rather than a long-term destination.
