Pros

The people I work with are great. $1 healthcare per pay period. Up until recently it felt like the company cared about employees which was nice for a minute.

Cons

Paycom lied to an entire department. People based their lives around the information provided by management. The company has told employees in our department that we were to be on a four day at home, one day in office hybrid schedule permanently. They hired me and many others with that promise that we will be hybrid remote/office employees. On Tuesday in a brash meeting they announced we are all “going back to office” full time. No warning this was coming. We were hired to be hybrid employees, not full time in office. Frankly that is one major reason I took the job. Management lied and does nothing with feedback we provide. Very sad because up until Tuesday I really thought Paycom was an honorable, reputable employer. I bragged to friends and family about where I work. No more.

Pros

You can make a lot of money if you are in the right territory and have a good client base that hasn’t been oversold by previous AMs. The training is very good and you will make good friends! The people they hire are smart and fun to be around

Cons

If there has been high turnover in your territory it will be hard to sell as the clients have products that have not been properly implemented and are likely gun shy to purchase. It will also depend how “over promised/under delivered” their experience with new business is. The work/life balance can, and probably will, become very toxic. You are on the road constantly if you have a travel heavy territory which makes it difficult to get admin work done during business hours. You will be working before and/or after work - probably on the weekends as well. Ask for transparency in your territory assignment. You want to know how far your furthest client is as you will have to go see them in person at some point
