Pros

$1 health insurance, profitable product, really nice recruiting process, commitment to community service

Cons

You can gather a lot from the reviews already, but there has been a new even more concerning development. Return to office for the tech department has been horribly and inhumanely managed (I so deeply wish it hadn't happened at all)-- but to make it worse, it seems as if they've rashly laid off some employees. I won't say details because I know management is watching these closely, but to say the least, I do not think these layoffs were warranted. We don't need less workers; this can't be budgetary. I don't know how replacement new hires would do those people's jobs better. Distrust has been sowed so much further in this department because I think this move was to send a message to shape up and shut up about return to office. I don't care what reasoning is given to us through official channels. This feels absolutely horrible and disrespectful to us as human beings and logically does not make sense as an economic business decision.

Thank you for sharing. Recent separations aren’t due to a restructuring as Paycom continues to grow and hire across departments. If you would like to further your review, please reach out at hrmgmt@paycomonline.com

Pros

The People Make Paycom - I really enjoy working with everyone I have had the change to work with. As someone that moved to Oklahoma from out of state, my co-workers were welcoming, and I have several current and previous co-workers that I am friends with outside the office. In addition, the clients that I work with LOVE Paycom. It is easy to come to work when you are working with clients that genuinely want your help and enjoy working with you.

Cons

There aren't many opportunities to work remotely or from home in a hybrid manner, at least not in my department. My department is also relatively new, so there are a lot of changes fairly often. I'd like to have more consistency there, but I know that will come as our department grows.

Pros

* Fast learning and professional skill growth. * Great people and strong teams. * Recognized name in the OKC community. * Valuable experience that strengthens future career opportunities, especially in Tech.

Cons

Over the past couple of years, career growth has felt extremely limited. Promotions and meaningful raises have become increasingly rare, and many employees believe these decisions are being driven from the very top. Layoffs and terminations have also become common, creating a constant sense of uncertainty. High performers often take on high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines and limited support. The expectations are unrealistic, and even successful delivery doesn’t usually lead to recognition or advancement. Leadership tends to make decisions very late, creating unnecessary urgency and forcing teams into last-minute scrambles. Benefits have declined, opportunities for advancement have become scarce, and overall morale has suffered significantly. There are talented people here and it can be a good place to gain experience, but I would view it primarily as a stepping stone rather than a long-term destination.
