Pros

Pay, benefits, and that's about it.

Cons

There aren't enough words to express how horrible of an experience working at Paycom was. For one the company culture sucks! The culture is very much toxic and you are surrounded by gossipers, mean girls/gals, and micromanaging leaders. The leaders doesn't respect your boundaries and are always trying to snoop in on your personal life to spread rumors and assassinate your character. It is all a set up for when they no longer see you as a fit for the company/team, to gang upon you to push you out of the door. Harassment takes place on a daily basis all to get you to fear loosing your job, and to power trip. You are just a number, and they truly do not show any loyalty to their employees, or customers. The clients hate Paycom and will let you know at every second. The technology is outdated and not user-friendly on the admin side. You will often get mocked and laughed at by your own clients because they truly hate the technology. Stay far away from this place if you care about your mental health and the trajectory of your career. I encourage you too look further into the negative reviews from previous employees. The positive reviews are usually from people who are just starting out and haven't gotten a taste of what the culture is like. There is no work-life balance whatsoever, so be prepared to give it all you have or nothing at all. There is no in-between. If you are entrepreneurial or strategic, forget about it. They do not want people who think on their own. They want those who are willing to following their system to a Tee, even when things doesn't make sense. This is your warning, stay far away from this place.

Pros

* Fast learning and professional skill growth. * Great people and strong teams. * Recognized name in the OKC community. * Valuable experience that strengthens future career opportunities, especially in Tech.

Cons

Over the past couple of years, career growth has felt extremely limited. Promotions and meaningful raises have become increasingly rare, and many employees believe these decisions are being driven from the very top. Layoffs and terminations have also become common, creating a constant sense of uncertainty. High performers often take on high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines and limited support. The expectations are unrealistic, and even successful delivery doesn’t usually lead to recognition or advancement. Leadership tends to make decisions very late, creating unnecessary urgency and forcing teams into last-minute scrambles. Benefits have declined, opportunities for advancement have become scarce, and overall morale has suffered significantly. There are talented people here and it can be a good place to gain experience, but I would view it primarily as a stepping stone rather than a long-term destination.
