Some of the people genuinely want to change things for the better, but those people are not always in power.
Cons
A lot of design leadership has been there for 7+ years and have no vision of how to take the product into the future. It results in a lot of thrash, no clarity or direction. Processes are widely different across teams so it makes it difficult to align on how to work together.
