Thank you for providing your feedback. We understand that not every work environment is a fit for every person. While we do have some projects that have a highly structured feel, we have others that are more laid-back. If an employee feels their work environment is not the right fit, we would always encourage them to speak with their direct manager or with a member of the Human Resources team as we may have opportunities to transfer within the company to a project that is a better fit. That being said, we like to work hard and play hard, so while we strive provide an enjoyable work experience, we do expect our employees to give it their all in exchange. You’ll be happy to hear that in our larger programs, we have done exactly what you suggested in your advice to management, and promoted talented employees to team lead or supervisory roles. This has proven a great advantage for the company in breaking down communication barriers and creating strong brand ambassadors for our company.

Pros

Fellow coworkers on the contract were friendly and reasonable people. Insurance options for vision and dental were appreciated.

Cons

Powertek failed to send my resignation email to HR with a months advance notice. I informed them of my intent to take my last week of PTO in the email, which they acknowledged. Thursday, the week before my last week, they informed me that HR has given a mandate that I cannot take the last week, and they moved my end date to Friday the next day. They refused to allow me to donate my excess PTO which was set to be used for the next week, and refused to give me a copy of the employee handbook on request, since they ended access to the company intranet. They will adhere to their legal obligations, but will otherwise try to avoid working with you when they stand to benefit. Such as to avoid paying out over 40 hours of PTO.
